Testimonials

Its always important to know how we can make your experience better for you.  As such I have highlighted some previous patient comments for you.

Paul is a great Physio. he has listened to my story and thought about the type of person I am before giving me an exercise programme that fits with my life. I have consistently improved week after week and the exercises were never boring. I thought that I could not improve but Paul showed me that I could get better. Now I want more from life.

Dr E.C.

Paul came highly recommended and he didn't disappoint. His explanations were clear and concise and I was exactly where he expected me to be at 6 weeks with a much improved neck and shoulder. Would recommend Paul to anyone looking for quality physiotherapy. Thanks again.

What to expect on your first appointment

When you come to Gray's Physiotherapy you will be treated as an individual not a condition.

On your first appointment it is important we get the correct contact details about you and then we will discuss why you have come to see us.  This will involve a detailed discussion about why and what has made you sore.  We will also discuss any relevant past medical history and enquiry about any medications you are on, please bring a list of these with you if required.

Once we have had a detailed discussion we will assess you, if your problem is in you legs a pair of shorts would be very helpful to enable us to visually check what is going on.  If you problem is in your arms or neck we may ask you to remove your top, ladies may want to wear a strappy/vest top.  We will ask you to perform various movements or activities and check how your symptoms respond.  We will also palpate your area of pain.  This means we will use our hands to assess for any pain or tenderness, and also feel for muscle tension or stiffness in the tissues.

At this point we will have a good idea on what is causing your pain, we will then discuss the various treatment options.

Once we have done this we will have a plan of how to treat you.

At any time during your visit with us we encourage you to ask questions about what is going on.

At the end of your appointment you should be able to have a good understanding about what is wrong with you and how we plan to get you better.  We believe that you should be able to explain to anyone a basic understanding of what is wrong with you and how we are going to work with you to get you better!
